This course is designed for Health and Safety Committee members and workers involved in workplace health and safety. It provides practical understanding of the role and function of a Health and Safety Committee in line with NZQA Unit Standard 30433.
About the Course
This training covers the role, purpose and functions of a Health and Safety Committee in a New Zealand workplace.
Attendees will learn about worker representation, the responsibilities of a PCBU in relation to Health and Safety Committees, meeting requirements, preparing for committee meetings, investigating workplace health and safety issues, and following up on agreed actions.
The course also supports attendees to participate effectively in Health and Safety Committee meetings and contribute to positive health and safety outcomes in their workplace.
