Build the knowledge and confidence needed to carry out the responsibilities of a Safety Observer and help maintain a safe working environment during higher-risk work activities.
This course is designed for workers who may be required to act as a Safety Observer and provides practical knowledge of Safety Observer responsibilities in line with NZQA Unit Standard 17596.
About the Course
This training covers the role and responsibilities of a Safety Observer in the workplace.
Attendees will learn when a Safety Observer may be required, how to recognise hazardous work environments and activities, how to monitor work safely, maintain communication, understand permit and emergency requirements, and respond appropriately if conditions change or an emergency occurs.
The course provides attendees with the knowledge needed to support the safe completion of higher-risk workplace activities.
